Joshua Ware is an artist and writer who was born in Cleveland, OH. His artwork has shown both nationally and internationally with solo shows at Leon Gallery, Understudy, Platte Forum, and GEORGIA. He’s appeared in group shows at RedLine, Lakewood Cultural Center, and RULE among other galleries and art spaces. His public artworks have been displayed or are currently on-view throughout Colorado in Denver, Colorado Springs, Breckenridge, Grand Junction, Palisade, Lakewood, and Longmont, as well as Farmington, New Mexico. Reproductions of his work have been used for book and magazines covers, and featured in print and online journals. Ware earned his doctorate in English Literature and Creative Writing from University of Nebraska. He is the author of Homage to Homage to Homage to Creeley, Unwanted Invention / Vargtimmen, and several chapbooks. He regularly writes art reviews and criticism, most recently for Southwest Contemporary, Entropy Magazine, and New Collection. He lives and works in Denver, CO.
