We made it! One hundred issues, over eight years of publishing and nine years in the making. We made it through when we were told “print is dead,” through the hardships and struggles, the mimics and critics, the doubt and self-doubt, as an independent business run by artists in a corporate world. Through the triumphs, milestones and dreams realized. And even through a world-wide pandemic. We made it through because of you. Because of our awe-inspiring team and brilliant house writers and artists who month after month summon otherworldly creativity out of their hearts and minds. Because of our guest contributors who share their visionary talent, and our loyal readers who keep our fires fueled each and every month. Because of our generous supporters, collectors and subscribers who believe in the value of art and lifting up creatives, keeping us alive and thriving. We set out to make a publication for the people by the people, a space to share creativity and ideas, and to provide access to art and information for free to the public. Though we can’t believe we made it this far, we also can. Because there is power in community, in artists coming together to make their marks during their limited time on this planet. So thank you. Thank you, and also let’s continue in our work, in utilizing our voices and gifts. Art is resistance. The pen is mightier than the sword. The way out is through.
